And so the saga continues, after resolutely denying the rumour that they were coming to Harborough, Waitrose this week submitted plans to turn the old Sandicliffe Ford showroom into a new store. The building, which is a furniture store at the moment will be pulled down to make way for a new store and car [...]

The good news for Market Harborough store, Outer Space, is that their planning application for a footbridge from Sainsbury’s over the River Welland to the back of their store, has been approved. As work commences, I’ll post photos of the construction. It’s good to see another St Mary’s Road business doing well. The full application [...]

Having had a quick scout through the planning site on harborough.gov.uk here’s what’s being planned (though not necessarily put into practice) in Market Harborough. Firstly The White Lion pub has a planning application in to make a front entrance off the High Street, rather than side entrance it has now. This could mean a new [...]

Market Harborough could soon have a new Deli on Adam and Eve Street.

The store always seems quite busy when I [...]

Santa soars high above St Marys Place

As it is getting festive in Market Harborough, I thought I’d snap a few pics off on my iPhone to record the icy, cold, wintery Christmas scenes about the town. Many shops have some great festive decorations and it’s all winding up for a great late night Market Harborough shopping extravaganza on Friday.

Good news for the town of Market Harborough, an independent retailer has taken over the shop that A Casa vacated earlier in the year. Their name is Jussi and appear to sell gift items. I saw a particularly nice leather satchel in the window.

Just as Phase Eight announce they’re opening a store in Market Harborough so does the women’s clothe store East. These 2 stores will certainly draw people to the top end of town, what with Fat Face, Josiah’s and Jaeger, this area of town is becoming quite the clothing area.
